To preserve academic excellence and student confidence, Ascend Academy mayimplement tiered eligibility standards:
• Minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA
• Advanced coursework completion
• Demonstrated independent study skills
• Leadership or extracurricular involvement
• Written student intent statement
Academic Safeguards
Provisional Consideration (Case-by-Case)
• Students must maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA in dual enrollment courses to remain eligible
• Academic probation monitoring if college GPA falls below 2.5
• Structured advisor check-ins each grading periodAcceleration should build confidence not overwhelm students.
• 2.75–2.99 GPA with:
- Upward grade trend- Strong instructor recommendation
- Academic improvement plan. This ensures opportunity without lowering standards.
• Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
• Successful completion of 9th & 10th grade core coursework
• Strong attendance & academic discipline record
• Instructor recommendation
• Parent/guardian approval
• Academic advising session completed
